Join us for a magical journey on Varangerfjord and experience the Arctic light when the day refuses to end and the night never arrives. Under the glow of the midnight sun, sea and sky turn golden – a serene yet powerful natural spectacle you will never forget. On this peaceful boat safari, we glide silently out onto the fjord, surrounded by the breathtaking Arctic landscape. As the sun lingers low on the horizon, we enjoy views of rugged cliffs, drifting clouds and the wide expanse of the Barents Sea. The birdlife is abundant, and with a bit of luck we may spot majestic white-tailed eagles, colourful puffins – “clowns of the sea” – and a variety of other rare Arctic birds.

Tour highlight

In the calm waters of the evening, we may observe species such as orcas, porpoises, humpback whales and fin whales – along with curious seals that often follow the boat. Witnessing these moments under the midnight sun’s glow creates an almost otherworldly feeling.

What’s included?

The tour includes hot drinks and snacks served on board, while your captain and guide shares stories and insights about the landscape, the unique light and life in these Arctic waters. And if you manage to charm your guide – which is not too difficult! – you might even be treated to a glass of sparkling wine beneath the golden midnight sky.
